Oh for the early days of podcasting when everybody got along... well they actually didn't but it makes for great copy.  Now we've got competing associations trying to organize podcasters for "the mutual good of all".

Today, the Podcasting Assocation has launched an alternative to the Association for Downloadable Media of which I am a member.

I did fill out the Podcasting Association survey but, at the time, didn't indicate I was going to blog about it but ... here I am blogging about it.

If you want to know what everyone's thinking, head over here to read comments others put in their survey responses regarding the two groups.

Gnomedex 2007 is in the history books.  Good connections and a good time was had by most.  For details on why not "all", I'd reccomend checking out GeekBrief.TV for a good interview between Cali and Chris Pirillo.

*Breaking News* Dave Winer has just appologized to Jason Calacanis so hopefully this will put an end to the "battle".

Hello and welcome to the Business-Podcasting.com Business Podcast.

I'm Michael Lehman, Director of Podcasting at www.Business-podcasting.com and here's what's new in business podcasting:

First up, Apple Computer has discovered business podcasting!

SEM Pro, a site that covers search engine marketing, reports that Apple is promoting the benefits of podcasting via email:

"Promoting your business just got easier. Create a podcast with GarageBand, post it to iTunes in minutes, and reach customers, clients, and partners in a whole new way. Chefs are sharing recipes. Maternity store owners are giving the lowdown on diaper bags. And other professionals are airing business discussions, marketing new products and services, and keeping people informed."

Their tag line is "Your newest marketing tool: your own words".

Our opinion is that Business Podcasting is not just about marketing but, just as with blogging, the biggest impact is that it truly enables your customers to get to know you and your company as human beings.  One of the fundamental human needs is connection and business podcasting is a powerful way to connect.

Next, our latest client, Personify Design (www.personifydesign.com), has just launched their business podcast.  You'll find it included in the www.business-podcasting.com RSS feed as well as shortly it will be available via the Personify Design blog.

Finally, today we salute http://www.smallbizpod.co.uk/ the small business podcast, SmallBizPod, who've recently published their 26th episode which talks about how to expand your business thorough international trade.

You can read transcripts and subscribe to this podcast at www.businesspodcasting.libsyn.com

And that's it for this edition of the Business-podcasting.com Podcast.   I'm your host Michael Lehman reminding you that your customers crave direct connection with you and business podcasting is the answer so call us at 206-388-5072 to start your business podcast today.

One of the best reasons to use Business-Podcasting.com for your business podcast is that, as a pioneer podcaster, our founder, Michael Lehman, gets plenty of Google and MSN juice and therefore can be very effective in promoting your podcast.

For example, two weeks ago, when we first launched the Business-Podcasting.com website, our site was no where to be found in either the nearly 400 thousand search results from MSN or the over 61 million results on Google.

Today, two weeks later, we are at the top of the MSN listings and the 4th result returned by Google.

When we use all our connections and "juice" to promote your podcast in the same way you will get instant high visibility and impact.

After talking to a variety of potential clients we've settled on an initial pricing structure of $100 per episode.

There is normally a one-time setup fee of $100 but we do have a special getting started package: Buy a 4 podcast episode package and we will waive the $100 setup fee. It's like getting 4 episodes for the price of 3.

The setup fee includes creating your podcast feed, composing a custom musical theme and configuring our full production services.

We accept payment via PayPal or corporate PO for qualified customers.

Call us at 206-260-3645 or email info@business-podcasting.com to get started today.
